Global Foundations Manager

About the role

The Global Foundations Manager will lead the diversification of Welthungerhilfe’s funding base by building and strengthening long‑term philanthropic partnerships. Based in Nairobi, the role works closely with country offices worldwide and the German headquarters to align foundation fundraising efforts with the organization’s Zero Hunger mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with foundations at regional, national and international levels.
• Coordinate with country offices to establish processes and structures that enable effective foundation fundraising.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of foundation donors, creating compelling partnership proposals.
• Collaborate virtually with the Philanthropy & Partnerships team in Germany and other global colleagues to ensure a coherent approach.
• Directly pursue selected foundation opportunities, especially those operating in countries where Welthungerhilfe is active.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in partnership development and strategic fundraising within the non‑profit sector.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones and coordinate with diverse teams.
• Strong understanding of foundation donor landscapes, particularly in Europe and the United States.
