Global Foundations Manager (Nairobi)

About the role

Welthungerhilfe is seeking a Global Foundations Manager to lead the diversification of its funding base and strengthen long‑term philanthropic partnerships. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with country offices worldwide and the German headquarters to build a robust pipeline of foundation donors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic partnerships with foundations in Germany, the USA and other regions.
• Collaborate with country offices to establish processes for foundation fundraising.
• Design and implement compelling partnership proposals that align with the Zero Hunger mission.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent foundation engagement across all locations.
• Monitor and report on partnership performance, providing data‑driven insights for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in foundation fundraising or related development roles.
• Proven track record of securing multi‑year grants from international foundations.
• Strong understanding of the NGO sector and humanitarian funding landscapes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
