Grade 3-6 Kiswahili Resident Teacher – 2‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking a dynamic Grade 3‑6 Kiswahili Resident Teacher to cover a two‑month maternity leave at its Athi River campus. The role focuses on delivering a 21st‑century learning experience using the CBE curriculum and fostering an inquiry‑based classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Kiswahili (or CRE/History) lessons aligned with the CBE curriculum.
• Provide a safe, secure, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Plan and execute daily activities, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
• Develop, review, and update schemes of work in partnership with the Curriculum Development Manager.
• Set and administer assessments as required.
• Prepare and manage learning materials, equipment, and resources.
• Instruct students on the proper use and care of equipment to prevent injuries.
• Organise and lead games, arts & crafts, music, storytelling and other developmental activities.
• Prepare indoor and outdoor spaces for creative play and motor‑skill development.
• Observe, evaluate, and document each child’s progress.

• Readiness to start immediately and commit to the two‑month cover period.
