Grants & Partnership Officer

About the role

The Grants & Partnership Officer will support the Innovation Manager in expanding Britam Microinsurance’s climate insurance and clinic initiatives. The role focuses on designing inclusive insurance products, securing grant funding, and building strategic partnerships to grow revenue and reach underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to design insurance solutions for diverse and marginalized groups.
• Develop proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks for donors, DFIs, and impact investors.
• Lead the establishment and operational launch of Britam Clinics, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Manage day‑to‑day clinic operations, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities from bilateral/multilateral donors, foundations, and corporate foundations.
• Build and maintain a robust grant pipeline and coordinate fundraising across business units.
• Serve as primary liaison for donor engagement, handling meetings, due‑diligence, and reporting.
• Oversee grant implementation, budget tracking, deliverable monitoring, and compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or donor relationship management.
• Familiarity with micro‑insurance, healthcare services, or inclusive financial products.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for proposal development and partner outreach.
