Group Product Manager

About the role

Sun Pharma East Africa Ltd is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead the marketing strategy for its country brand portfolio. Based in Nairobi, the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution to drive revenue growth, market‑share expansion and long‑term profitability across multiple products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own strategic and operational plans that optimise profitability, market share and revenue for the brand portfolio.
• Lead the creation of marketing and promotional plans aligned with consumer needs and business objectives.
• Monitor business performance through regular tracking and market intelligence gathered from primary research and customer interactions.
• Translate market insights into actionable strategies and coordinate KOL engagement, round‑tables and advisory groups.
• Jointly manage budgets for advertising, promotions, conferences, sales materials and digital content, analysing costs and returns.
• Initiate and coordinate marketing projects, present plans to internal teams and train field staff.
• Represent the company at national and international congresses, hospitals and with key opinion leaders.
• Adapt corporate brand strategy to local markets, working with headquarters on visual assets, communication plans and product‑budget approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading marketing strategies for a multi‑product portfolio in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and perform financial analysis of marketing spend.
• Strong track record of engaging with key opinion leaders, prescribers and other decision‑making units.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams and with regional headquarters.
