Head of Growth

About the role

The Head of Growth will lead the recruitment and management of Community Trust Agents and Retail Footfall Agents across a phased expansion roadmap, starting with a pilot, moving to Nairobi scale, and eventually national coverage. This senior position is responsible for building high‑performing field teams, driving subscriber acquisition, and ensuring revenue targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment of Community Trust Agents (market/boda leadership) and Retail Footfall Agents according to the phased roadmap.
• Manage and develop the Brand Ambassador team, including site assignment, target setting, coaching, and performance management.
• Create repeatable playbooks for entering new markets, boda stages, and geographies beyond Nairobi.
• Own subscriber and revenue metrics for the retail business, tracking active subscribers, new sign‑ups, and net revenue against commercial targets.
• Monitor activation quality, including 7‑day payment conversion, customer complaints, and product communication quality.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end agent experience, from training materials to support channels and claims‑handling standards.
• Collaborate with product, underwriting, and claims teams to feed field insights into product design, pricing, and processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, distribution or growth, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing field sales or agent networks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field sales teams, manage distribution channels, and deliver commercial results.
