Head of Indirect Procurement

About the role

BURN is looking for an experienced Head of Indirect Procurement to lead the sourcing, negotiation and management of suppliers across all indirect spend categories. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver cost‑effective solutions, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance and service levels.
• Collaborate with IT, HR, Marketing, Finance and Operations to understand and fulfil their procurement needs.
• Manage supplier onboarding and ensure adherence to company procurement policies and ethical standards.
• Monitor indirect spend, analyse data and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Lead, develop and support the indirect procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent education; a bachelor’s degree or procurement/supply‑chain studies are desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in indirect procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, ERP systems and contract negotiation.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving skills.
