Head of Q-Commerce, Kenya

About the role

As the Head of Q‑Commerce in Kenya you will own the strategy and execution of Glovo’s multi‑category marketplace, driving growth across groceries, retail and dark‑store operations. You will build strong partner relationships, expand the dark‑store network and lead a high‑performing local team to deliver a seamless experience for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Q‑Commerce P&L for groceries, retail and dark‑store business units.
• Define medium‑ and long‑term growth and profitability strategies for the Kenyan market.
• Build and maintain relationships with top retail and grocery partners, negotiating sustainable contracts.
• Lead the commercial team to onboard new partners and support account managers in growing existing accounts.
• Scale the dark‑store network responsibly while improving operational efficiency.
• Gather partner feedback and collaborate with product, marketing and operations to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in fast‑paced environments such as FMCG, retail, startups or top consulting firms.
• Proven track record of owning a full P&L and delivering profitable growth.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with senior stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, manage and retain top talent.
• Strong negotiation skills and deep understanding of retail business dynamics.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset with the ability to solve complex, multidisciplinary problems.
