Hotel Supervisor

About the role

The Hotel Supervisor will oversee daily operations of a busy hotel in Nairobi, ensuring seamless coordination across front office, kitchen, housekeeping and service areas. The role focuses on maintaining high service standards, driving staff performance and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day hotel operations, including front desk, food & beverage, housekeeping and ancillary services.
• Coordinate inter‑departmental activities to guarantee smooth guest experiences.
• Monitor service delivery, address guest complaints promptly and uphold customer satisfaction.
• Supervise, coach and discipline hotel staff, conduct daily briefings and follow‑up on performance.
• Set, track and evaluate staff KPIs, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a professional, accountable work environment and resolve conflicts.
• Oversee daily sales, expenses, cash handling and inventory control, minimizing waste and loss.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Valid health certificate.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic financial and reporting competence.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts.
