HR and Facility Officer

About the role

The HR and Facility Officer will support a tour and travel company in Nairobi by managing recruitment processes, onboarding and off‑boarding, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and Kenyan labour regulations. This role works closely with the HR & Facility Manager and various team leaders to maintain smooth HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with HR & Facility manager, managers and team leaders to ensure timely, quality recruitment.
• Manage job advertising, candidate long‑listing, interview scheduling and background checks.
• Execute onboarding procedures and communicate expectations to new staff.
• Handle off‑boarding, ensuring all exit documentation and clearances are completed.
• Assist the HR Manager with investigations, disciplinary documentation and audit support.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan employment, health and safety laws.
• Identify and mitigate workplace risks, including injuries and accidents.
• Maintain accurate staff records, contracts and payroll information.
• Take minutes, send reminders and share documents for the management team.
• Uphold confidentiality and data‑privacy standards for all employee information.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month of relevant HR or facilities experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with managers and team members.
• Knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation is an advantage.
