HR Assistant – Nairobi

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing security services SME, is looking for an HR Assistant to support the HR operations team in Nairobi. You will help protect the well‑being of the team and maintain accurate employee records while contributing to the smooth running of security guard management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction of security guards.
• Maintain employee records, contracts and guard deployment schedules.
• Process attendance records and administer leave requests.
• Handle and process payroll data.
• Initiate disciplinary processes when required.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and industry security regulations.
• Respond to employee queries and provide welfare support.

Required profile

• Organised, discreet and passionate about people.
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Resident in Nairobi.
• At least a Certificate in HR Management (CHRP ongoing is a plus).
• Minimum 6 months of HR internship experience.

Required skills

• Proficient in MS Excel
