HR Officer

About the role

We are looking for an HR Officer to manage and support our human resource functions within a transport environment. The role ensures effective employee management, compliance with Kenyan labour regulations, and smooth HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and maintain employee records.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary processes, and grievance management.
• Oversee attendance, leave, contracts, and employee documentation.
• Support payroll preparation and ensure accurate employee information.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company HR policies.
• Coordinate staff training, performance management, and employee development.
• Provide HR support for drivers, conductors, operations and other transport staff.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and prepare HR reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in transport, logistics or a related industry.
• Good knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
