About the role
We are seeking a Human Resource and Administration Officer to manage the full HR lifecycle and oversee daily office operations for DT Sacco. The role reports to the CEO and supports both staff and board members in a dynamic, service‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, staff engagement and separation.
- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies in line with best practice and legal requirements.
- Oversee employee leave management and ensure compliance with statutory and Sacco leave policies.
- Coordinate training and development programmes for employees and board members.
- Support performance management processes according to the approved policy.
- Oversee daily office operations, including correspondence, supplies, organization and general administrative support.
- Supervise support staff to maintain cleanliness, orderliness and smooth office operations.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations and internal HR procedures.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment in line with occupational safety standards.
- Handle disciplinary and grievance processes fairly, transparently and legally.
- Maintain confidential employee records in compliance with data protection requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the CEO, managing schedules, correspondence and filing systems.
- Coordinate logistics for Board, management and committee meetings, including scheduling, venue, document distribution and action tracking.
- Oversee centralized filing registries, ensuring compliance with records retention and data protection policies.
- Plan and execute Sacco events, handling logistics and hospitality arrangements.
- Manage reception and hospitality services for visitors and stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular departmental reports highlighting activities, challenges, progress and recommendations.
Required profile
- A university degree in Human Resource Management or Business.
- Valid IHRM HR Practicing Certificate; CHRP‑K certification highly preferred.
- At least five years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services, Sacco or service‑based sector.
- Strong knowledge of Kenya’s labour laws and employment regulations.
