Human Resource Assistant

About the role

A Human Resource Assistant is needed in Nairobi to support HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll support, training coordination and employee relations. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
• Maintain employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality
• Support onboarding and induction programs for new employees
• Assist in payroll preparation and benefits administration
• Coordinate training sessions and staff development initiatives
• Provide support in performance management processes
• Handle employee queries and ensure timely resolution
• Prepare HR reports and documentation as required

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in HR and administrative support
• Knowledge of HR processes, labor laws and best practices
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• High level of integrity and confidentiality, attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (an added advantage)
• HRIS systems (an added advantage)
