Human Resource Business Partner – Integrated Patient Services

About the role

Penda Health is seeking an experienced Human Resource Business Partner to support its Integrated Patient Services (IPS) department. You will act as a trusted advisor to managers, champion employee wellbeing, and help shape a culture that aligns with the company’s vision of trustworthy, accessible healthcare across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and calibration sessions.
• Drive talent management and workforce planning to meet current and future staffing needs.
• Handle employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
• Support change management initiatives and implement HR policies and programs.
• Coach, inspire, and influence managers and their teams.
• Own job descriptions, compensation, and benefits structures for the IPS team.
• Facilitate onboarding, training, and leadership development activities.
• Analyze HR data to identify biases and improve decision‑making.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ethical leadership and genuine care for people and outcomes.
• Proven ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics with insight.
• Experience acting as an employee champion, change agent, and trusted advisor.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with the wider HR team and IPS leadership.
