Human Resource Generalist

About the role

We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to support Vivo Fashion Group’s operations in Nairobi. The role will manage end‑to‑end recruitment, employee relations, performance improvement and learning initiatives across the manufacturing and warehousing business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interviews, guide hiring managers on job profiles and ensure efficient recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Review and update job descriptions, identify performance trends and recommend improvement actions.
• Deliver onboarding training, conduct orientation sessions and maintain learning documentation.
• Handle staff grievances, disciplinary actions and ensure compliance with Kenya’s Employment Act 2007.
• Maintain strong relationships with line managers and senior leadership, sharing HR trends as needed.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects, creating tools and templates to improve departmental effectiveness.
• Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports and monthly absenteeism reports for the business unit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, social sciences, business administration or equivalent.
• 5‑8 years of HR management or administration experience in recognized organizations.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya labor laws, particularly the Employment Act 2007.
• Active membership in a professional HR body with a good standing record.
• Tech‑savvy with ability to work with HR systems and digital tools.
