Human Resource Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resource Officer to support our employees and business operations at Hakki Car Finance Limited. The role focuses on delivering a positive employee experience, handling HR processes, and ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, induction and exit processes to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, leave and attendance data in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Support performance management, including coordinating appraisals and documentation.
• Address employee relations matters such as grievances and disciplinary issues while fostering a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies and HR best practices.
• Provide payroll administration support by supplying accurate employee data, leave records and benefits information.
• Assist in coordinating training and development initiatives.
• Help implement employee engagement, staff recognition and internal communication programmes.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field; HR certifications (e.g., CHRP) are a plus.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Human Resource Officer.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and statutory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google spreadsheets.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
