Human Resource Officer – Manufacturing

About the role

The Human Resource Officer will support the manufacturing business by managing employee relations, talent acquisition, performance processes and HR compliance. You will act as the first point of contact for staff concerns and partner with line managers to build a productive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee relations, conduct investigations, disciplinary actions and grievance handling in line with policy and Kenyan labour law.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, induction and probation for operational and support functions.
• Support performance management, monitor improvement plans and provide guidance to managers.
• Maintain accurate employee records, ensure statutory compliance, manage contracts, promotions, transfers and exits.
• Assist payroll preparation, leave administration, shift coordination and attendance tracking.
• Identify training needs, organise learning initiatives and support HR projects and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Commerce‑HR or related field (Higher Diploma preferred).
• IHRM membership or a valid practising certificate is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of HR experience in manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, industrial or similarly fast‑paced environments.
• Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment and performance management.
