Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support HR planning, data management, and operations across its business units. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Human Resources, the role will help ensure effective implementation of HR policies and contribute to the hospital’s growth and accreditation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of HR policies, plans and procedures.
• Assist in forecasting talent pipeline needs aligned with business strategy.
• Participate in recruitment processes to secure optimal capabilities.
• Manage HR projects defined in the annual operational plan and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Provide advisory services on talent management, performance, employee relations and change management.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and hospital regulations.
• Develop and monitor workforce statistics, staff turnover, leave and absence data.
• Maintain HR filing systems, contract expiry tracking, payroll support and staff induction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related business field.
• Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or Higher Diploma in HR Management.
• Membership of the Institute of Human Resources Management.
• Minimum four years’ experience as an HR generalist, preferably in a comparable institution.
