Human Resources Officer – Nairobi

About the role

Our client, a leading automotive company in Kenya, is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support the smooth and efficient delivery of day‑to‑day HR operations. The role will cover recruitment, onboarding, employee records, employee support, compliance and general HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Support the recruitment process by advertising vacancies, screening CVs, maintaining candidate records, coordinating interviews and tracking candidates through the ATS.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, prepare employment documentation, collect required paperwork, facilitate orientation and support employee exit processes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both physical and electronic, and ensure information is updated within the HRIS.
• Respond to employee queries on policies, benefits and procedures, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Support compliance with Kenyan labour laws, monitor HR deadlines and prepare routine HR reports for management.
• Provide administrative support on employee relations matters and assist in implementing HR policies and procedures across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms.
