Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The HR Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the employee lifecycle and ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws while supporting the overall HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire local employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to contract administration, attendance tracking and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and compile monthly statutory documents for NSSF, NHIF, PAYE and other tax/social security remittances, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
• Facilitate employee communication, conduct disciplinary hearings and manage termination or separation procedures in strict compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
• Issue HR documents such as employment and clearance certificates and produce comprehensive HR reports to support management decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations and contract management.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong coordination abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized and strong problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and hands‑on experience with NSSF, NHIF and PAYE declaration processes.
