ICT Manager – Strategic Leadership Role

About the role

Our client, a Co‑operative Union operating under Kenya’s Ministry of Co‑operatives and Marketing, is seeking a highly competent, strategic ICT Manager to lead the ICT department and ensure secure, reliable, and efficient technology services across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned with business goals and digital transformation objectives.
• Manage performance, security and availability of all ICT infrastructure, systems and networks.
• Oversee procurement, vendor contracts and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Implement ICT security policies, lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts.
• Direct data governance, backups, recovery and response to data loss or breaches.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations and hardware/software maintenance.
• Maintain robust, secure communication and network infrastructure for all branches.
• Lead IT support services, ensuring timely resolution and high user satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop ICT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Monitor system performance, prepare reports for senior management and the board.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
