Information Systems Audit Internship

About the role

Zade Associates LLP is seeking a motivated graduate to join its Nairobi office as an Information Systems Audit Intern. You will support audit engagements, assess IT controls and contribute to risk analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating IT general controls, application controls and information systems security.
• Participate in IT risk assessments, test access controls, system configurations and data integrity.
• Identify control weaknesses, system vulnerabilities and document findings in audit working papers.
• Research emerging technology risks and recommend control improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field, with First or Upper Second Class honours.
• Strong understanding of IT controls, cybersecurity principles and risk management.
• One to two years of practical experience in IT audit, controls or cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA are a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT governance frameworks: COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and audit documentation software.
