Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and optimizing instrumentation and control systems at our manufacturing plant. The role ensures reliable operations, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor equipment parameters at control points to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete work orders on time and maintain accurate documentation.
• Develop and maintain calibration schedules for all plant instrumentation.
• Install, commission, calibrate, and validate new instrumentation and control equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers during troubleshooting and repairs.
• Configure, program, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and other automation systems.
• Diagnose machine breakdowns and coordinate repairs or component replacements.
• Provide technical support to operators and supervisors to improve machine efficiency.
• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, sensors, transmitters, meters, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Promote safe working practices and participate in safety training.
• Identify equipment modifications and process improvements to reduce costs.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of failures and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 5 years) in instrumentation engineering.
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
