Insurance Sales Representative

About the role

This full-time, on-site position in Nairobi involves identifying prospective clients, presenting suitable insurance products, and providing tailored recommendations that match customer needs and risk profiles.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new clients for insurance solutions.
• Present and recommend suitable insurance products.
• Build and manage a sales pipeline and prepare quotations.
• Process applications and follow up leads to close sales.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service and handle policy inquiries.
• Coordinate with underwriting and claims teams for seamless client experience.
• Maintain accurate records and meet sales targets.
• Participate in marketing and outreach activities to grow the customer base.

Required profile

• Strong insurance sales and sales skills with a proven track record of meeting targets.
• Solid knowledge of insurance and brokerage to explain products clearly.
• Excellent customer service abilities, able to build trust and resolve issues promptly.
• Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant experience in insurance or financial services sales.
• Diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing or a related field (advantageous).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and comfort using CRM and office software.
• Demonstrated integrity, resilience and a proactive, target‑driven approach.
