Interdisciplinary General Engineer / Architect (Federal)

About the role

This public notice announces anticipated vacancies for an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect supporting capital improvement construction projects for Navy, Marine Corps and other federal agencies. The position will involve technical guidance, contract administration, and project management across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance and technical guidance to engineers, architects, and support lines while leading execution of capital improvement construction projects.
• Manage multiple priorities, offering technical recommendations and solutions to complex problems during contract administration.
• Oversee complex, time-sensitive construction projects for Navy, Marine Corps and other agency clients in various geographic locations.
• Enforce technical and administrative provisions of assigned construction contracts.
• Review pre-final contract drawings, specifications and technical RFPs for constructability and field compatibility.
• Act as technical representative for contract modifications and claims.

Required profile

• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, including negotiating and administering construction contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering and architectural concepts to plan, design, construct and maintain large-scale structures.
• Experience providing advisory services for design, construction and oversight of repairs and alterations of buildings, warehouses and parking facilities.
• Ability to develop creative, technically sound solutions to non-standard problems.
