About the role
The Interim Director of Workplace Services & Operations will provide executive leadership for a global portfolio that includes real estate, facilities management and office operations. Reporting to the COO, the role is time‑bound (12‑18 months) and focuses on stabilising service delivery, integrating capabilities and establishing consistent governance across a geographically distributed footprint.
Key responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for global Workplace Services, translating organisational priorities into a clear portfolio plan.
- Maintain continuity, safety and service quality across real estate, facilities and office operations, intervening where performance or risk exceeds tolerance.
- Lead a comprehensive current‑state review and design a future‑state operating model with defined governance, decision rights and service standards.
- Own portfolio budgets, forecasts and resource allocation, ensuring value for money and alignment with priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with local offices and senior stakeholders, leading transparent change communication and engagement.
Required profile
- Extensive senior leadership experience in workplace services, corporate real estate or facilities management within a multi‑country organisation.
- Proven track record of delivering operating‑model transformation, service integration and measurable operational improvements.
- Strong budget ownership, forecasting and commercial negotiation experience with significant supplier contracts.
- Ability to establish governance, KPIs, SLAs and executive reporting that support evidence‑based decisions.
- Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel as required.
