Intern - Global Digital Jobs

About the role

The Global Digital Jobs workstream at the Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) Kenya II seeks a motivated intern to support research and analysis that will help position Kenya as a hub for digital services in Europe. This is a full‑time, on‑site internship based in Nairobi, offering exposure to international development projects and digital market research.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk research on global digital job trends and market demand.
• Support analysis of German and European buyer requirements, skill gaps, and regulatory developments.
• Prepare concise briefs, presentations, company profiles, ecosystem maps and background notes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in identifying and mapping Kenyan digital‑service providers and talent‑development organisations.
• Help assess companies on service offerings, talent pipelines, delivery capacity, compliance and readiness for international business.
• Maintain and update databases and trackers related to the Global Digital Jobs workstream.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a university programme (any discipline).
• No prior professional experience required.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for preparing documents and presentations.
• Ability to conduct internet‑based research and synthesize information.
