Internal Auditor & Compliance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Internal Auditor & Compliance Manager to lead the design and execution of risk‑based audit programmes, strengthen internal controls and ensure full regulatory compliance across the organisation. The role reports directly to the Audit Committee, Board of Directors and senior executives, providing independent assurance on financial, operational and governance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement annual audit charters, multi‑site operational audit programmes and risk‑assessment matrices.
• Evaluate financial, supply‑chain and HR controls to prevent fraud, errors and operational inefficiencies.
• Enforce compliance with corporate governance codes, statutory tax regulations, data‑protection frameworks and industry standards.
• Identify emerging operational, legal and financial risks and develop cross‑departmental mitigation strategies.
• Prepare objective audit findings, track corrective‑action plans and present assurance reports to the Audit Committee.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, compliance or enterprise risk management.
• Proven ability to establish corporate governance frameworks and lead ERM programmes.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing risk‑based audit plans and conducting fraud risk assessments.
• Strong track record of translating complex statutory requirements into actionable compliance protocols and delivering high‑impact reports to senior leadership.
