Inventory Supervisor (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring an Inventory Supervisor in Kenya on a fixed-term contract. The role covers operational excellence, KPI reporting, controls and compliance, and people management within the operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Operational excellence: review operations, implement continuous improvement, and develop service excellence processes to raise customer satisfaction and reduce complaints.
• KPI and reporting: help define job profiles, KPIs and reports, liaise with operational teams to meet KPIs, and produce daily, weekly and monthly reports and presentations.
• Controls, compliance and ethics: champion the CCE agenda on site, ensure adherence to SOPs, the Code of Business Conduct, AGL policies and regulatory requirements, review processes for risks and gaps, train CCE champions, ensure weekly Pulsar observations and abide by QHSE requirements.
• People management: motivate operations teams, manage change management, cultural shifts, communication and training programmes, and work with HR on talent management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Operations/Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in external/internal audit, supply chain/operations/inventory management, or risk/governance/compliance.
• Understanding of generally accepted supply chain, inventory management and auditing SOPs and KPIs.

Required skills

• Added advantage: professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, APICS or CIPS.
• Added advantage: working knowledge of SAP.
• Added advantage: experience with continuous improvement methods such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.
