Investment Officer – Africa/Middle East (Nairobi)

About the role

Triple Jump is seeking an Investment Officer to support debt investments in micro‑finance institutions across Africa and the Middle East. Based in Nairobi, you will work 32‑40 hours per week, contributing to the full investment cycle from origination to monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, appraise, process and supervise debt investments in MFIs within the Africa/Middle East region.
• Participate in the complete investment lifecycle, including origination, due diligence, structuring, and post‑investment monitoring.
• Develop and maintain a regional network of partners, institutions and stakeholders.
• Travel frequently within Francophone Africa (average one week per month) to conduct field assessments and build relationships.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance or a related field.
• Significant experience in an asset‑management firm, rating agency, development bank or commercial bank.
• Proven ability to analyse financial statements and assess credit risk.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Willingness to work onsite in Nairobi and travel regularly.
