Investment Officer – Garissa & Dadaab

About the role

Inkomoko Kenya is seeking an Investment Officer to work from Garissa and Dadaab. The role focuses on supporting refugee and local entrepreneurs through due‑diligence, investment preparation, and ongoing portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective borrowers and guide them through application for investment products.
• Introduce investment products, explain repayment terms, and assess suitability.
• Conduct investment appraisals, collect personal and business information, and open new investment accounts.
• Prepare and execute investment contracts, arrange disbursement of funds or in‑kind support, and coordinate site visits.
• Compile documentation for the Portfolio Manager and assist in preparing credit reports for Investment Committee meetings.
• Capture entrepreneur photos, obtain waivers, and ensure accurate stories are posted on the Kiva platform.
• Provide daily customer service through calls, correspondence, and site visits to maintain strong borrower relationships.
