Investment Research Analyst (Contract)

About the role

The Investment Research Analyst will support the research function by collecting market data, structuring financial information and building models that enhance investment decisions. The role involves using Bloomberg, obtaining verified data from central banks and statistical bureaus, and drafting fact‑sheets and reports for portfolio managers.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, tabulate and synthesize market information to optimise client fund returns.
• Screen investment opportunities against preset multiples and criteria.
• Prepare first drafts of fact‑sheets and other analytical reports.
• Assist the fund management team in developing, launching and enhancing investment products.
• Take detailed notes at meetings and organise action items and timelines.
• Perform any other duties assigned by senior analysts or managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics or a quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of formal experience in financial analysis, data modelling, actuarial work or a related area.
• Hands‑on experience with stock markets, macro‑economic indicators and financial statements.

Required skills

• Financial and data modelling proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of investments and financial markets.
• Report writing capability.
• Experience using Bloomberg terminals.
