IT Asset Management Technician – DoD Support

About the role

CACI is seeking an experienced Asset Management Technician to support a Department of Defense organization (CJTF‑HOA) in Djibouti, Africa. The role focuses on managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets across classified and unclassified environments.

Key responsibilities

• Gather detailed hardware and software inventory data and maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Develop and enforce policies for acquisition, deployment, utilization, de‑installation, reallocation, and disposal of IT assets.
• Conduct on‑site inventory, de‑commissioning, and supply management while ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders to create purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage end‑of‑life disposal.
• Audit and reconcile software licenses, provide licensing expertise for PCs, networks, and servers, and report metrics on asset utilization.

Required profile

• Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Proven experience in IT asset management, inventory, and lifecycle processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills for working with government partners.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% locally and OCONUS as needed.
