IT Assistant – Entry Level Technical Support

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy IT Assistant to provide first‑line technical support and assist with system maintenance, helping ensure smooth daily IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line desktop and technical support for internal staff, covering hardware, software, network connections and peripherals.
• Assist with setup, configuration and deployment of workstations, laptops and software applications.
• Diagnose and resolve basic system, hardware and network troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, monitors, accessories and software licences.
• Support user account management, permissions and security access controls.
• Perform routine system backups, updates and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Document common support issues and resolution procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, System Administration or related field, or equivalent practical experience/certifications.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and standard office software.
• Foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, local networks).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to assist users with varying technical capabilities.
