IT Trainee Program

About the role

The IT Trainee will work under the supervision of the Departmental Trainer and Training Manager to learn and support the hotel's information technology operations, including AV equipment, network infrastructure, and database systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with routine and emergency technical equipment maintenance, including AV control rooms and banquet equipment.
• Provide technical support to guests and staff, monitor peripherals, and ensure equipment inventory is maintained.
• Support database management tasks such as integrity checks, backups, recovery procedures, and generate crystal reports.
• Maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, enforce security procedures, and manage user access rights.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, track inventory, and assist in AV equipment purchasing.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT or Computer Science (or completed coursework).
• Kenyan citizen with ability to work in a multinational environment.
• Excellent grooming, communication skills and a positive learning attitude.

Required skills

• AV equipment handling and maintenance.
• Database Management Systems (backup, restoration, security).
• LAN/WAN networking basics.
• Technical troubleshooting for hardware and software.
