Jambonz VoIP Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Jambonz VoIP Engineer to design, build and scale cloud‑based voice platforms. The role is fully remote and focuses on integrating Jambonz with SIP trunks, AI voice services and modern containerised infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Jambonz‑based voice architectures.
• Work with Jambonz SBC, FreeSWITCH, SIP signaling, RTP/media and call routing.
• Develop Jambonz applications using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Integrate SIP trunks, telecom carriers and external APIs.
• Build IVR flows, conferencing, recording and other voice services.
• Integrate speech‑to‑text, text‑to‑speech, LLMs and AI voice agents.
• Troubleshoot SIP signaling, media quality and connectivity issues.
• Deploy and manage services with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Monitor, optimise and scale the voice infrastructure for high volume.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on VoIP/telephony experience.
• Deep understanding of Jambonz architecture and its components.
• Ability to answer detailed technical questions about call flow and troubleshooting.
• Comfort working in Linux and cloud environments.
