Junior Business Analyst (Remote)

About the role

Blue Oak Consulting is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support the evaluation of a regional fintech provider’s financial health and growth plans. This fully remote position offers the chance to work directly with senior partners, dive into commercial data, and test the realism of strategic assumptions.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial statements and operational data to verify growth claims for the fintech client.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet models to forecast multiple business scenarios.
• Check data consistency across reports from the client and its subsidiaries.
• Identify risks in capital allocation strategies and investment plans.
• Prepare concise summaries highlighting discrepancies or areas of concern.
• Track execution plan progress against original financial goals.
• Participate in internal meetings to discuss pricing structures and unit economics.
• Conduct market‑trend research that could affect client portfolio economics.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
• Comfort working with numbers and a basic understanding of financial reporting and P&L.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to focus remotely and spot patterns in large datasets.
