Junior Store Clerk (Automotive)

About the role

The Junior Store Clerk will support the automotive parts store by handling inbound and outbound spare parts, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting the procurement and workshop teams. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with SAP ERP and inventory management in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming motor vehicle spare parts.
• Issue spare parts to authorized personnel and update inventory records.
• Capture goods receipts, issues, stock transfers, and other transactions in SAP.
• Monitor stock levels, flag low‑stock or fast‑moving items, and support periodic stock counts.
• Maintain documentation such as delivery notes, invoices, and requisition forms.
• Ensure parts are correctly labelled, stored, and organized for easy identification.
• Prepare inventory and stock movement reports as required.
• Support procurement and workshop teams in sourcing correct spare parts.
• Adhere to company policies, inventory procedures, and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• 1‑2 years experience in stores, inventory, or clerical roles within automotive, transport, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle spare parts and their applications.

• SAP ERP (inventory/materials management modules).
• Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Word.
