About the role
The ReDSS Kenya Policy Coordinator will implement advocacy and policy strategies at national and county levels, working with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure sustainable solutions for refugees and host communities in Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor ReDSS Kenya advocacy strategies, analysing legislation and policy changes to provide timely recommendations.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government, humanitarian, development and civil‑society actors to advance policy priorities.
- Strengthen capacities of local authorities and partners through trainings, peer‑to‑peer exchanges and integrated approaches for displaced and host communities.
- Lead engagement with Refugee‑Led Organizations to ensure community voices shape policy processes and document best practices.
- Support the Kenya Manager in developing, implementing and reviewing the operational plan, ensuring compliance with DRC procedures.
Required profile
- University degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years experience in policy coordination, evidence building and analysis in humanitarian contexts.
- Strong knowledge of displacement trends and socio‑economic dynamics in East Africa.
- Proven experience working with multi‑stakeholder initiatives and capacity‑development programmes.
Required skills
- Advanced IT command, including maintenance of template‑style websites.
- Application of ICT tools for knowledge management and evidence translation.

- One‑year fixed‑term contract with possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance.
