Knowledge and Research Quality Consultant (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Knowledge and Research Quality Consultant to lead the development of a Knowledge and Research Approach for its Health Programme. Working remotely from Nairobi, you will support the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and country offices in building robust evidence bases that inform policy, programming, and advocacy for children’s health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive scoping of existing knowledge and research assets, including access to the TA Hub AI‑driven evidence search tool.
• Design and implement a systematic approach for generating, curating, and disseminating evidence that aligns with UNICEF’s 2026‑2030 Strategic Plan.
• Establish feedback loops between CoEs, country offices, and partners to ensure knowledge is translated into actionable guidance.
• Develop mechanisms for sharing relevant evidence externally while safeguarding sensitive information.
• Provide guidance on integrating new technologies, such as AI, into knowledge management processes.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, health policy, research methodology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in knowledge management, evidence synthesis, or research coordination within international development or humanitarian settings.
• Strong understanding of health programme implementation and strategic planning.

Required skills

• Experience with AI‑enabled evidence search platforms.
• Ability to design and operationalise knowledge management frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
