Laboratory Technologist

About the role

The Laboratory Technologist will support daily operations in the phlebotomy and clinical laboratory areas of Focus Clinical and Diagnostics Center. You will ensure accurate sample collection, processing, and reporting while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the workstation and stock phlebotomy supplies for the day’s workload.
• Collect, label, store, and transport patient samples according to SOPs.
• Prepare reagents and working solutions following manufacturers’ instructions.
• Run daily quality‑control checks on analyzers and document results.
• Perform tests, analyse results, and release reports using approved procedures.
• Conduct EQA testing, troubleshoot non‑conformances, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory information systems: enter patient data, update results, and ensure confidentiality.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Adhere to environmental health, occupational safety, and infection‑control guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and laboratory staff.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 3 years) in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety, hygiene, and occupational health regulations.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and maintain detailed records.
