About the role
The Laboratory Technologist will perform diagnostic tests and analyse clinical specimens to support disease detection and diagnosis. The role involves preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to quality control standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyse clinical specimens.
- Prepare samples and operate laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow quality control procedures.
- Support the detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Required profile
- Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- At least one year of internship or working experience.
- Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
- Training and understanding of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
- Operating laboratory equipment.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management Systems (QMS).
