Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Lead Fire Alarm Dispatcher to supervise the Fire Alarm Dispatch Center supporting a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures timely, accurate emergency communications for fire and emergency services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and schedule dispatch personnel, ensuring training and compliance with SOPs.
• Monitor fire, medical and emergency detection systems, receive and prioritize alarms, and dispatch resources within response time standards.
• Maintain continuous communication with responding units and coordinate with military, government and mutual‑aid agencies.
• Record emergency calls, alarm activations and incident details; review and improve dispatch procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of lead dispatcher or emergency communications experience.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.

Required skills

• Certification as Telecommunications Operator I & II and Hazardous Materials Awareness (or equivalent).
• Experience with Computer‑Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, radio communications equipment and emergency communications technology.
• Strong leadership, organizational and supervisory abilities; excellent written and verbal communication.
