Lead Full Stack Engineer - Part-Time

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to own the end‑to‑end journey of a fintech product, from late‑stage development through launch, scaling and continuous improvement. The role is based in our Nairobi office and works on UK‑aligned hours, reporting directly to the founder and product leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical vision and roadmap for the platform.
• Lead full‑stack product engineering from MVP to a scalable solution.
• Review, improve, and take ownership of the existing codebase.
• Build scalable features, infrastructure, and data architecture.
• Maintain and enhance Open Banking integrations and financial data APIs.
• Translate product and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor and grow an engineering team as the company expands.
• Partner with the founder on product strategy and technical decisions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade applications.
• Experience taking products from development through successful launch.
• Background in fast‑paced startup or product environments.
• Ability to make independent technical decisions and own outcomes.
