Lead Recreation Services Specialist

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Lead Recreation Services Specialist to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees recreational activities, programs, and facilities, ensuring high‑quality customer experience and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise recreational services, ensuring program quality and safety compliance.
• Serve as lead instructor for Red Cross lifeguard training programs.
• Manage sports leagues and events for soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and flag football.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
• Develop and promote recreational activities, handle participant inquiries and feedback.
• Support marketing efforts and create promotional materials for programs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience in military or civilian recreational services.
• Certification as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor.
• Proficiency in officiating soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball and flag football.
• Background in marketing and promotion of recreational programs.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
