Lecturer - Forensic Psychology

About the role

The University seeks a dedicated Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction, supervising research, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic psychology.
• Mentor students on academic and career matters.
• Participate in curriculum design and program reviews to keep offerings market‑relevant.
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct scholarly research in the area of expertise.
• Engage in university, professional, and community service activities.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the institution.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD or equivalent) in Psychology with a forensic specialization from an accredited university.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral level.
• Relevant publication record meeting CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014.
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya (or equivalent professional body).
• Supervision of postgraduate students is an advantage.
