About the role
KMTC is recruiting a Level 2 Lecturer in Health Records and Information Technology, based in Nairobi (Westlands). The post covers teaching, assessment and curriculum implementation within the health records and information technology field.
Key responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate students
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson notes and lesson plans
- Assess students in clinical areas
- Guide and counsel students on academic matters
- Support the design and development of instruments to assess health training needs
- Develop guidelines for the evaluation of health teaching materials
- Evaluate training programmes to determine their effectiveness and relevance
- Implement the competence-based curriculum
- Plan and organise continuing education programmes for health workers
- Conduct research in the area of specialisation and supervise students on research projects
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Health Records and Information Technology
- Registration with the Health Records and Information Management Board (HRIM Board)
- Valid practicing license
Required skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
