Legal Associate

About the role

Turaco is seeking a highly organized and results‑driven Legal Associate to support its legal and compliance functions, focusing on insurance‑related matters and commercial contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate insurance policies, service level agreements, vendor contracts and terms & conditions.
• Maintain a compliant contract tracking system and manage the full contract lifecycle.
• Identify, assess and escalate legal risks associated with third‑party contracting.
• Provide legal advice on insurance underwriting, regulatory compliance and company secretary duties.
• Conduct legal research, prepare documentation and develop standard templates for recurring legal documents.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of post‑admission experience in a busy law firm or corporate legal department.
• LLB or equivalent legal qualification and admission to the High Court.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, with high integrity and discretion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross‑cultural collaboration experience.
