Legal Claims Intern

About the role

The Legal Claims Intern will support the Assistant Manager Legal Claims in reviewing and processing fee notes, handling recovery claims, and assisting with data entry and document management.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process all outstanding fee notes according to the executed SLA and Advocates Remuneration Order.
• Follow up on missing documentation required for processing fee notes and third‑party claims.
• Assist in reconciling fee‑note statements with service providers.
• Prepare, issue and report on statements confirming closure of fee‑note accounts with service providers.
• Initiate and pursue recovery claims, including payment of fees claimed.
• Prepare recovery schedules and supporting documentation.
• Maintain a tracker and follow up on recovery matters.
• Perform data entry, document management and information retrieval.
• Review files and follow up on required documents.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• External Bachelor’s degree (insurance option preferred).
• No prior experience required; foundational knowledge of insurance processes is an advantage.
• Computer literate.
